  • Answer:

AFS and YFU have great reputations. On YFU it has a three month semester and a summer, no year. There are several semester options ranging from 10-11 thousand. http://yfuusa.org/countries/australia-and-new-zealand-16.php I'm having trouble with the AFS site right now but it is afs.org if you want to check it out. But yeah expect to pay 10-12 thousand no matter what program you pick. And I wouldn't go with any other program. There is rotary club that your town might have but you don't get to pick your country. And you don;t pick the host family, the porgram will. They will interview you and try to put you in a family that matches your personality. It is exspensive and with a decent job will take you about two years to save the money unless your parents are willing to help. How to get them to say yes? Show your maturity. Don't cry and get angry when they say no, that won't help. Do a powerpoint showing the benefits
