How can I get through a proxy server?

I need to get a around a proxy server and can anyone tell me how to do it in details?

  Sorry, but the whole purpose is for you NOT to be able to "get around" it! A proxy is a translator of sorts. Think traffic cop, with the proxy as a bus stop where you change buses. The traffic cop at the transfer point remembers the bus you came in on so when you return, the traffic cop can put you on the right bus back to your machine. The problem is the traffic cop restricts traffic to certain locations on the second bus route. You get to the proxy, and your trip stops. What you want is a way around the traffic cop stopping your traffic, and the only way to DO that is to manage the proxy so you can get hold of the lookup table the proxy uses to translate your IP address to it's IP address. The proxy maintains a table of restricted IP addresses. If a site is in the list, you simply stop and can not go further. In essence, the proxy will not let you on the bus that would take you to the site. If you can log in as an administrator for the proxy, you could remove the restriction. But as a user of the proxy, you are limited by the restrictions placed ON the proxy by the administrator. The proxy is a security measure that prevents anyone outside of your network from getting IN to your network. It simply is a side benefit that it also restricts YOU from getting OUT to certain places that are outside your local network. So that is what a proxy IS... enhanced security against hacking from outside. Now for the sermon... You are in school. That proxy stopping you is there because of people like ME, the taxpayer that pays the bills for YOUR schooling. I am not paying for you to PLAY. I am paying for you to become an educated, productive member of society. Where do you think schools COME from? It used to be children did not go to school, but worked. Today, there are child labor laws to protect you from abject slavery, and law to provide for the general education of the population, but not everyone has the same rights as YOU do. Look at the Arab countries, like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and the rest of what is referred to as the 3rd world. Social networking sites like facebook, myspace, youtube and whatever, are not productive when it comes to your education, so they have no place in my taxpayer dollar paid for school. All you have to do is make a request to access any site you want to, and then be prepared to justify WHY you need that site during school time. If you can justify facebook, you will get access to facebook. Simple... Come up with a valid reason WHY you must have access, and you will get it. Social networking like tweeting and such is playtime, and serves no purpose in furthering your education. Play on your own time, not my taxpayer dollar time...
