Is becoming a paramedic a good job?

EMTs and paramedics are very important because they have an important role in society that they come and take care of you and transport you safely to definitive medical care, so that you can be healed and return to a normal life and not be a drain on your family and friends, that is, you can return to being a productive member of society again. 2. It takes a commitment to learning about many special job functions: Emergency Vehicle Operations, Obtaining access to and assessing a patient, emergency treatment, packaging the patient for transport and transfer to the ambulance, emergency transport and care enroute, transfer of care to the receiving facility, communications and reports, and preparation for the next emergency. Depending on how much you earn relative to your cost of living, and perhaps if your spouse works, you may or may not be able to afford a large family. In my opinion, you probably could not support a large family, unless you have a dual-role job, such as a paramedic / firefighter. 4. You would need to learn first aid and CPR and how to and when to administer certain medications and possibly IVs, and using a defibrillator and advanced airway equipment. You will also learn new things as the field is constantly evolving and you will also constantly review old skills that may seem boring as you have to renew your certification every 2 or 3 years. 5. in some areas there can be a high demand for them, but in other areas or at times, there are not. Often, in areas, you may not be able to obtain employment, unless you are hired by the fire department first as a firefighter. 6. Depending on who you are working for, you may be able to earn bonuses, or often be permitted to work overtime. 7. I am a national registry paramedic for a medium-size city and we do 911 calls only. 8. You can get Annual and Sick leave, retirement, health, vision, dental and life insurance. Depending on the system you may have to buy your uniforms and equipment or you may have them issued to you by the employer. You also usually get free parking. The work schedule can be a benefit, in some places it could be 24 hours on and 72 off, or various non- 9-to-5 work schedules. 9.
