Is it okay to take Monistat during your period?

4 days late, light spotting. Pregnant or weird period?

• I am 20 years old. I had sex for the first time in late March, and we used a condom. A few days after that I got my period. At the end of that period I started birth control. Every time we have had sex we have also used a condom. This is the first period I should be getting since starting birth control, and I am now 4 days late. This morning I went to the restroom and noticed light spotting after I had gotten out of bed, but it's odd because I usually have a pretty heavy period. I have been under quite a bit of stress lately, especially since Monday when I hadn't immediately gotten my period. Also, I have a yeast infection and used a Monistat treatment last night. Is it possible that the birth control/stress/something is messing up this period, or should I go ahead and take a pregnancy test? Also, I have not experienced cramps, nausea, or food cravings.
