How to become a wildlife rehabilitator?

So, my life's goal and dream is to open my own no-kill animal shelter and wildlife rehabilitation center in Colorado (I currently reside in Ohio). I also plan on going to college to become a general practitioner vet, or possibly an avian vet. I have experience raising wild animals - birds, bunnies, kittens - but it sucks that a lot of what I do I know is illegal without a wildlife rehabilitator license. I'm good at what I do, a lot of the animals I take in are successfully reintroduced to the wild. But without a license I can't call myself a rehabilitator. My question is: Is there some test or evaluation I can go through to get a license? Will they even GIVE a license to a minor?!? I have a job at a dog kennel, but I don't make a whole lot. Does it cost a good bit of money? No rude answers please; I just want to know. Thank you in advance, CL

Ask you local rehabilitation center. That's the best thing you can gather up information from. When ou family found an abandon rabbit nest, we took all the babies home and added some nesting material in and called the rehabilitation center and they took them and my mom asked if she cod volunteer and they said yes. So I am guessing you could get a job there, just maybe you hae to go through a cople of tests. Don't given and follow you dream :) xx Kayla
