How much more expensive would switching to Verizon be from T-Mobile?

Switching from Verizon to Tmobile?

  • We live in the city and we moved from a small town out in the boonies and I was wondering would it make a difference if we switched to tmobile from verizon? Our situation is, my friends and family from back home don't really call or text me any :( I understand they're busy and when I try to txt or call they don't respond, we really haven't gone back to our small towns in a while and we really enjoy living on the outskirts of the city better . So I've made new friends here and a lot of them have t mobile or other carriers and verizon charges us a lot for even texting my new buds, plus I've been dying to get my hands on the variety of cool phones that tmobile has to offer. We have a home phone now so anytime we've needed to call home for any reason we use that. But I wonder if it would make any difference to switch? Seeing as how verizon works well everywhere, even in these small towns, but tmobile seems trendier and works pretty well in the city areas, and seems like everyone's phone works well around here. I really want to switch but need some opinions. No mean comments please just bored and this was on my mind.

  • Answer:

I sell cellphones for a living. T-Mobile blows. Verizon and at&t are where it's at. Keep in mind, I live in Texas. But if a company is so bad that another company tries to acquire its assets, walk away. Stay with Verizon or ar&t always.

Keep in mind that T-Mobile has the tendency to shut off phones that they know are roaming too much, and given that T-Mobile has the smallest coverage area of all of the big four (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile), anything that is not "big city" or nearby is likely to be roaming. A big part of why AT&T and Verizon cost more has to deal with the increased costs of having such a wide spread network, as well as how much more likely that they are to get gouged by locales that they try to establish and or maintain towers at (Buffalo, NY is a good example of this). Verizon also has had consistently good reviews as far as the quality of their service and their customer service.
