How to Show or Read docx file?

Why won't my pictures from my digital camera show up on my computer?

  • Well I just recently got back from Los Vegas. While I was there I took plenty of pictures and videos. The weird thing is that not all videos and pictures don't work. When I try to open a picture that does not work I get these messages depending on the program I try opening it with. The picture files are classified as JPEGs and the videos are MOVs. Also when I would first get the picture taken it would show up on my camera when I review it it would show up. But when I would take another picture my camera and then view the older picture my camera would tell me "Unidentified Picture" The weird thing is not all pictures and videos do this, just some groups of them. The camera I got is a Canon PowerShot. Buy looking at the following quotes what do you guys think is the problem and what can I do to fix them? Is there a program I could get to fix this problem? "Photo Gallery can't open this picture or video. This file format is not supported, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Gallery." - Windows Photo Gallery "Paint cannot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported" - Paint. "is not a compatible image file" - Neopaint "Couldn't display *** because a suitable graphics importer could not be found" - Quicktime Picture viewer When I try to play some videos I get this message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." - Windows Media Player

Sounds like your card might be corrupt. Try this photo recovery software. Do a deep scan. Download the program http://www.recuva.com? You must not take anymore pictures on your card. You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader.Put the card in the card reader, open the recuva program, the welcome to the recuva wizard will open, click on next. next box, choose 'pictures', click on next, next box choose 'on my media card' click next. See the words 'enable deep scan' click on start. Wait, for it to do it's magic. You need to use a card reader either one already in your computer (some have one, some don't). Or buy an external USB card reader. They are around 10.00 and can be found at walmart, bestbuy, frys, probably target. The problem with built in card readers is that they will usually only read up to a 2G card. I was not able to recover photos by hooking the camera up to the pc with the usb cord, it just won't work. This is the important part. Choose the pics you want to recover, then choose recover, a box comes up asking where you want to save to. Choose documents/my pictures or wherever you want to save your pictures too. The pictures ONLY save to your pc and not the card. Format your card in the camera after you have retrieved your photos and backed them up to an external source.

When you click on My Computer, you then have to drill down to the memory card from your camera, past the DCIM folder and to the folder that holds your images. Once there, you need to select all of them and copy them to a new file folder on your hard drive named for the subject and date of the shoot. Sometimes the auto play feature is turned off when there are updates installed automatically to your operating system You really need to not depend upon any automatic anything when it comes to your camera or computer. Instead, take control so you know were your images are being stored.
