Question about college majors (science related)?
-
Hello everyone. I will be entering college as a Freshmen next year and I'm not sure what to put as my major. I will be attending Oakland University (in MI) and can't decide between health sciences and pre-med. The problem is that I don't know the difference between the two and browsing their respective university websites isn't helping. Would any of you happen to know the difference between major and career in health sciences or a major and career in pre-medical studies?
-
Answer:
There is no such thing as a career in pre-med. Health scientists work mainly in hospital labs. Pre-med is to prepare you for medical school to become a doctor.
