Is family force 5 a Christian rock band?

I am a Christian and I love Christian rock, but I also love secular music too, I have always liked family force 5 as a secular band, but now my friends say that they are considered Christian rock, is true and if so, how?

I know they are a christian band cuz I first saw them on this show I used to watch called Roots I think. It was a christian show about skateboarding and music videos. They showed Family Force 5, The Devil Wears Prada, Red, Flyleaf, Anberlin, Demon Hunter, Switchfoot, Hawk Nelson, Disciple, Fireflight (or Firefight), and a lot of other cool bands.
