When did organic certification start?

I want to start an career in the IT field whats a good certification or training should i take to land a good?

  As far as what you need to get an IT job: The Holy Grail for IT employment is a 4 year computer related degree, some industry certs and experience. If you have all three of those you should be good. If you have only one element that will help but you may be competing with other people who have two elements or perhaps all three. Certs are a good thing. I have 21 Microsoft certs so I believe in them. However, they have little value by themselves. Some employers value certs many don't. Many employers are more interested in you having a 4 year degree in an IT related major. A+ = the entry level cert for an IT person - Mainly about hardware and basic repairs this can be self studied and it will be easier than almost any other certs you will take. Deninitely the place to start out. Cisco and N+ = networking certs - no reason to take these unless you plan to be dealing with networking equipment. Security+ = Difficult Computing Security cert. The entry level cert for computer security. Remember very few companies will hire you right out of school to do Computing Security. These are trusted positions for proven employees. It is good to have the cert but it may be of more benefit after you are in the job for a few years. CISSP and CEH = Very difficult and advanced security certs. CISSP requires you to have 5 years experience in direct Security role. Best wishes!
