Are MK Vision figure skate blades professional?

Eclipse figure skate blades vs the MK Vision figure skatee blades what is better?

• I'm a figure skater that has worn MK vision figure skate blades for a long time and I just discovered the Eclipse infinity blades and they look really nice! What blades are better for the professional figure skater MK vision blades or the Eclipse infinity blades? Eclipse blades look like they are made better then the Paramount, Ultama, and Matrix blades. I'm wondering what blades are better HELP!

  All of the manufacturers you mentioned make quality blades, so you can't go wrong with any of them. The real question is what you actually need, vs. what you want becuase it's pretty and shiny, lol. (It's true: the Eclipse site repeatedly remarks about the high-shine quality of the chroming, which does nothing for actual skating.) The MK Vision is an intermediate freestyle blade. The MK Phantom or or Gold Star are the next steps up in blades, designed for skaters doing triples or quads. The Eclipse Infinity is the equivalent of an JW Pattern 99 blade, using the same rocker profile, straight-cut toe rake and radius (8'). Both run around $325-350/pair, compared to the Vision at $300-325. The main obstacle is that MK Vision has a 7' radius, so stepping up to an 8' radiu will require quite an adjustment period. Frankly, if you're doing okay on these blades, stick with them and save the money. A little car wax will make any blade more shiny for far less money. Now, if you're doing triples, then it is time to step up in blades. Ask your coach.
