What are good tips for cheap traveling in london?

Any tips for traveling from the US and staying in London for 3 months.?

  • I want to travel to London from the US and stay for aprox 3 months at the beging of 2013. Any tips on the best area thats reasonably priced? I'm a 26yo male just looking for a new experience and I really loved London in my travels. Any tips to make my time more enjoyable and affordable would be helpful and any estimates on how much I should expect to spend would be as well! Thanks!

    Some Universities let out rooms in their Halls of Residence outside term-time. You could try looking on line - sorry, can't be more specific. Best of luck.

We just returned fro London about 10 days ago and I can tell you that it was very expensive to stay there. We spent more in London than what we spent in Paris for the same 3 days, so take a bucket of money. Can't give you any suggestions on a place to stay because at 26 you have aged out of the youth hostels. I would suggest you look outside of the city and try to find a room to let for that period.
