Why are Yahoo! webpages running so slowly?
-
Is anyone else having issues viewing Yahoo! webpages (in any section...Sports, Finance, etc)? In the bottom status bar of the pages I see updates like "Waiting for http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect/xd_proxy.php...%22, but it never is resolved, and a single webpage can take 100% of my computer's processing power. Unfortunately, it never is resolved, until I kill my browser. I've been seeing this for the last month or so, but only on Yahoo! sites (no other sites). Since I can't update my browser or even change any settings (requires administration rights), I can't do anything about my browser on my own. I guess if it isn't resolved soon, I'll permanently vacate Yahoo!. Just seeing if anyone else is having similar issues.
