How to spend a Halloween at home?

Home daycare providers, how much time during your daycare day do you spend doing general cleaning?

• Home day care providers, how much time do you spend during the day just doing general cleaning upkeep, like sweeping food areas and messy play areas, wiping off counters, picking up toys for kids who are too young to pick up after themselves so there isn't a tripping hazard, doing dishes, cleaning potty record-keeping for each child's day, etc? Hopeing for some good time-management advice. Parents of kids in home day care, how much time during the day do you feel comfortable having the provider spend doing general, daycare-related cleaning? I belong to a home day care agency, I am approved to operate according to provincial guidelines and I operate and keep my home clean according to these standards. I am subject to random monthly visits and if my records aren't kept up or my cleaning is not to their expectations, I can lose my approval and be shut down. Yet I am finding I am spending a huge chunk of the day just doing cleaning for safety and health's sake. Looking for some good time-management advice. (BTW, I don't have day care kids today, so yeah, that's why I'm on here, haha).

  My day home provider had a helper. While one one person looked after the kids, the other cooked meals, cleaned, etc.
