Is a computer science degree good for working for big companies?

I am a senior in high school and it has been my dream to work for a big company in Silicon Valley, California for a big company like Apple or Google. I have dreamt of this for over 5 years and now that I'm about to graduate from high school, I need to focus on how to get there. I think that majoring in Computer Science would help me get a job at a big company like Apple or Google and I'm wondering if anybody could give me suggestions on whether this is a good idea or if any other majors are possible? I just don't want to major in computer science if it won't get me to my dream. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Yes most likely if you top your class. Honestly become a dentist or doctor or something like that, more stability in the industry. I.T. is very up and down.
