How to write display driver?

IT pros: how do i create groups in windows 7, and how do i fix my computer crashing when display drivers stop?

  • I have three issues: Issue 1: I want to create groups of files that appear below all of my other files. When they are created you have the option to collapse all of them, or expand all of them. I can't use group by, as i want to choose specific files to put into groups. It would look something like this: My file folders, unsorted files, and then groups. Issue 2: Also, how do i stop my computer from crashing a lot. When I play videos, my display driver will stop working, videos will turn green, and the next video will crash my computer to the BSOD. Unfortunately, I can't write down the error code, because it's too long to write down before it restarts. Issue 3: Finally, every day my internet stops working, and I am forced to restart every couple of hours. It says I am connected, but unfortunately will not load pages fully. If i type in Google.com when it happens, I get at the top of the tab "Google," but a white page. OK, Issue 1 is quite simple based on Windows file system hierarchy. To illustrate I will use an example of a library as your root folder or entry point into the file system, a desk which has loose/unsorted books on it, then a room with shelves for each type or genre of book. You will create the first folder under a drive or mount point of your choosing (i.e. c:\) Library (root folder/entry point) / Desk (unsorted files) / | \ Romance Horror Mystery You can create as many sub folders (groups) as you wish. Expanding Library will reveal Desk, which will contain unsorted files, within Desk are your Groups, and within them you can place your sorted files. Actually, a folder named Desk is not necessary, you can have your root folder, then groups inside that, unsorted files can be in the root folder until sorted and dragged into groups. Issue 2 is a little more difficult, especially if no malware is suspect. Thus your hardware is suspect, you didn't mention what game(s) you are playing, but based on the symptoms, I would say your graphics adapter is not capable of handling the programs you are running. Also possible is your version of Active-X is not up to date. Last issue is tough....how are you connected to internet? Cable or DSL? Is the Cable/DSL modem yours or rented from the ISP? If rented, it may be a bad modem, however answers to the next questions will either eliminate or escalate that. Does the outage occur at the same time every day? If so: Have you contacted ISP asking about issue(s)? If the ISP has been contacted, did they do a back sweep of the connection and try to ping your modem? If so, did the modem respond without errors? If not, have them replace the modem, you're paying for it...insist on a new one, not used. Do you have a hub, switch or router? Have you tried connecting to a different port on the hub/switch/router? Any change? If it is a switch, can you ping all ports? (if it is a hub, then you cannot ping it) If a router, can you ping the router? Ports? Is it wireless? Is wireless enabled but not in use? If it is not in use, disable it....it is a perfect way for someone to get on your system, or at the very least, steal internet by piggybacking on your connection, thus slowing you down or causing interruptions. Maybe around the same time every day when they get home from work/school.....???? If you are using wireless, is it secure? If not, why? See above reasons. You can check all these things pretty easily, and if your hardware seems in order, then the ISP will need to resolve.
