How to get free dual boot for windows xp on my windows 7 without a disk?

  • I have a windows 7 computer, and I want to run a dual boot for anything (except linux) on my computer. I would prefer to get windows xp. I want to know if there is a program (Like wubi-installer.org) that will work like Wubi to download another OS. I don't like Linux, but I really want to get XP. Links and tutorials would be GREAT<3 I would appreciate any help. I don't have the money to buy a CD and I don't have any flash drives OR even a CD drive so I can't put it on seperate CD or flash drive (unless I can somehow use my 2GB memory card for my phone, yes I have a USB converter, but I don't think it's enough space on there) I don't care what 'type' of windows xp I have. But the easiest one, for like Netbooks (I have windows 7 home premium on my netbook right now). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP. It's 3:30am and I've been up looking for a solution for about an hour. I DO have a USB 16GB Flash Drive with windows 7 starter on it personally for my Laptop that I got from windows for free. It's the thing they use to put windows 7 on there. (And when people want to FULLY restore laptops) I cannot write over it, but I will download xp on main portion, and then Windows 7 on another if I absolutely have to. I an running a 32-bit computer. My brother's 32-bit computer runs a dual boot for win7 and xp, but he doesn't know how to do it. His friend did, and his friend passed away. So I would love to get windows xp if you guys can help me <3 Thanks (:

    The easiest is to install xp first and then 7. But you need both install disks to do this. Otherwise you'll have to use a third-party bootloader, or edit your windows xp one. Edit the partitions to make room. Install XP into that room. Then edit or change you bootloader to it can load into 7. Backup everything, and I would suggest getting a hold of 7 home premium install disk anyways in case somthing goes wrong.

There are 300 distros of Linux, and some (like Zorin) are made for n00bs who are used to XP. There are desktop skins that look JUST like XP, right down to the icons and Start button. You can dual boot, or quadruple boot like me, and it's free and regularly updated.

XP Mode comes with Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate. You just have to download it from the Microsoft website

Your only going to mess your computer up by doing this. Windows 7 was made to surpass windows xp and all xp programs work on windows 7. I don't understand why someone would want to dual boot a lesser system. To get a copy of windows xp go to thepiratebay.org and to dual boot. To dual boot you will need to split your main partition into two halves. Then clear your flash drive and install everything for the OS on your phones memory card. I'd recommend not trying to budget this out though and using an 8gb flash drive at the least. Next restart your computer select partition 2 and boot from flash drive, this should begin the OS installation. But I still recommend not doing this to your computer as it will be 100% pointless.
