  • Answer:

Yes. Here's a link to the Windows 7 SP1 ISOs. Download any of the 64-bit versions. You'll notice that there isn't a ISO for Windows 7 Home Basic. http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/ If you remove ei.cgf or otherwise disable ei.cgf you'll be prompted during install to choose your version of Windows. You can then choose home basic. Us the utility from the link below, under step 1, to patch your ISO and effectively delete the ei.cgf file. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/85813-windows-7-universal-installation-disc-create.html Once the ISO is patched, you can burn it to a DVD or use the Windows Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to make a bootable USB flash drive you can use to install Windows 7. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool - Dominic

Doubt if you got a disc with it, that's why you can't find it. You have a restore partition on there, use it to restore to how it was when you bought it and then make your restore dvds like you should have done when you first bought it. These are the factory restore instructions specifically for the Inspiron. 1 Turn on the computer, when the Dell Logo appears repeatedly press the <F8> key until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. 2 From the Advanced Boot Options highlight Repair Your Computer with the arrow keys and press <ENTER>. 3 Click Next > and login to your administrator account on the computer. The administrator account is the account created the first time the computer was turned on. 4 Click Dell Factory Image Recovery and DataSafe options and follow the prompts provided.

Yes, you will be able to reuse the same key.

It depends on what kind of licence you have. If it was an OEM licence then you are restricted to that specific computer. If you purchased a separate copy of Windows that allows you to install it on 3 PCs then yes you can.
