How to add an editable map to website ?

• I would like to make a map available to my website visitors. I want visitors to be able to add content to the map, search for content on the map. I also want to set my very own pins to the map. For example a pink muffin pin for beauty shops. How can I add a custom map to my website that is zoomable, scrollable? How can users add content ? How can users search for content ?

  *laughs* you don't ask for much do you? What you are asking for is very advanced and if you are asking here, it is almost certainly beyond your capabilities. However, I'll play along for the fun of it. You'll probably want to use the Google Maps API to start with: https://developers.google.com/maps/ However, if you prefer Bing Maps from Microsoft, you can use their API instead: http://www.microsoft.com/maps/developers/mapapps.aspx You'll also need a database and back end support as well.
