What is the symbiotic relation of sloth bear and algae?

Is a sloth a bear??????

  • My friend thinks a sloth is a bear

  • Answer:

I think I know where the confusion is. Sloths, and there are many species/subspecies, are NOT bears. However there is a species of Bear that is called a Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus). They are both in the same Class, Mammalia, but when it comes to genetic classification that is as close as they come. Does that make sense?
