Where is the highest rate of autistic kids?

If parents, not the government, are best "deciding on what kids eat", then why the massive obesity rate?

  • I always hear "it's the parent's right to make choices for their kids, not people in washington" in regards to outlawing sugar to underage kids. Yet, isn't it unfair (and should it be illegal) to have children subjected to irresponsible parents who feed their children mcdonalds every day? surely this is what conservatives had in mind when they thought government should make no regulation on food?

  • Answer:

I think it's not even the government people blame. It's government not taking action towards advertisers. Advertisements can shape young children's minds. Children can recognize logos and commercial jingles before they can form sentences. In some countries it's illegal to advertise to children under twelve. while I think that is extreme I think we do need to watch what we advertise to our children since their minds are so delicate and can be shaped so easily.
