How can I get rid of this cystic acne?
-
I want to start off by saying I exercise daily, eat very healthy, never eat sweets, and do not drink sodas, energy drinks, or any other sugar-filled drink. So before people say that is the cure for acne to do what I've been doing since I was born, you are wrong. I am a 16 year old male and I've dealt with acne since I was 9. so about 4 years before I hit puberty. I had used a Stridex 2-step system when I first started getting acne which worked great. I used that, plus a medicated cleanser for about 4 years. The cleanser had 2% salicylic acid as well as the astringent pads in the Stridex, and then the cream with the Stridex was 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. My little regimen I had going on stopped working, so my mom bought me Neutrogena's 3-step system which made me break out even more. Since I was 13, my acne has been cystic. The bad thing is I live in an extremely rural area and only 1 dermatologist is within 50 miles of my town and I saw him and he is totally psycho. After I tried the Neutrogena 3-step system, I tried using other products of theirs. None of Neutrogena's products worked for me. After that I tried Clearasil, which made me feel oily. I have extremely oily skin anyway so I didn't want to make it oilier. After the Clearasil I used the 3-step system from Clean & Clear. It worked for a while, but it stopped. I'm trying to explain my history with acne in a short yet detailed way so sorry if this is too long. I've also used all 3 different systems of AcneFree, which made me feel oily. After the AcneFree I used Murad. It made me feel oily as well. I thought I'd give the Murad a try because it was gentle. So I decided to buy Proactiv since I have a job and money of my own and after 2 weeks of using it, the acne wasn't as bad. Now, I've been using it a month and as of 2 days ago, a cyst has popped up on my chin. This is the worst pimple I have ever had. It is very large, painful, and I am afraid to bust it. I'm getting my money back on the Proactiv and this is the new skin care regimen I've got going on. I do this twice a day. I use OXY Maximum Face Wash with 10% benzoyl peroxide, then I use the Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent with 2% salicylic acid. The final step I use is the OXY Clinical Clearing Treatment, which has 5% micro-encapsulated benzoyl peroxide. I apply it all over my face because I have allover acne. There is only one dermatologist within 50 miles from where I live and he is a total psycho. He prescribed me a damn benzodiazepine for acne? WTF? He gave me no recommendations for my acne at all. I've been to SEVERAL regular doctors and they always say "sorry, you'll have to see a dermatologist because I'm not experienced in this field." I have been seeing results from this new regimen on my other pimples except the cyst. I know it's only been 2 days and I know cysts won't go away overnight because it didn't take overnight for it to show up, but what is the quickest way to get rid of it without having to drive so far to see a dermatologist? Thank you very much if you can help.

You should try some homemade acne treatments like tea tree oil, aspirin mask, and apple cider vinegar. They can help bring cyst down and help the overall look of your skin. The best results I ever saw with my cyst came from Accutane, but I know a lot of people don't like to take it because it might have side effects. Using heat can help or ice depends on what works for you. Also this company called Lush makes natural face washes and exfoliators that are really good. Here's a link to some of the treatments and stuff to check out. http://www.shortform.com/Guts_N_Glory/skincaretips/watch

In order to efficiently and effectively get rid of acne breakouts that occur on areas other than the face and neck, there are a few steps that should be followed to maximize the effectiveness of benzoyl peroxide body wash. Wash your entire body with a medicated body wash that includes at least 2.5% benzoyl peroxide as an active ingredient; concentrate on the area that are prone to breakouts. Let the benzoyl peroxide body wash rest on the skin for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. Allowing the body wash to sit on the skin for a small period of time will give the solution adequate time to penetrate the pores and get rid of excess oils and irritants. Exfoliation is a key step to getting rid of body acne. Perform this step after using the benzoyl peroxide body wash so that the physical act of light scrubbing will reach deeper into the pores. Be sure not to get scrub too roughly, for this will increase irritation and redness. Moisturize with an oil-free, preferably medicated lotion; benzoyl peroxide body wash can dry out the skin, so it is important to replace necessary moisture for the skin to be balanced and blemish-free. If a non-medicated moisturizer cannot be found, use a non-comedogenic lotion instead. Following these steps will ensure that the benzoyl peroxide body wash that you use will be as effective as possible. Hope this help you.

Try this for cystic acne ..... Niacinamide face cleansing pads are effective and simple way to keep acne away. Just place a pad on the pimple and watch it fade away. Lavender Oil helps prevent skin drying. Niacinamide pads are also known as Vitamin B3 pads or Nicotinamide pads. Works on body acne too. Give them a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. Niacinamide also helps diminish skin-hyperpigmentation (acne scars).
Hello
Okay you're 16 - where do you live? My friend had acne too all her life. It disappeared for 3 reasons. 1) she took this pill (i have no idea what its called, but there is something out there to help your skin. It is probably medically prescribed) which worked when she was a teenager but didn't eradicate everything 2) She moved to the UK and the weather here is much drier/cooler and her acne disappeared instantly... it was like magic... 3) She grew older. It sounds like you're still battling the hormones of a teenager! You sound like you are doing a good job, try not to fret. Keep these things in mind ^ they will help you.
