How long does it take for chicken pox to heal?

How long will it take for my chicken pox to go away? HELLP?

  • Ok, so I'm 12 and I have never had chicken pox before. My sister got Chicken Pox 3-4 days ago, and I'm starting to get a fever, sore throat, and big headaches. I'm also tired. The problem is that my sister's 1st birthday party is on May 3rd, this Saturday. Will I still be contagious by then? Aside from that, I don't want to miss school because people will get suspicious. I looked it up online and it said that I won't be able to go to school for 10 days, but I have a LOT of things going on this week and next week. What should I do?? PLEASE HELP!

    It'll take a few weeks for it to dry up and the scab would fall off, make sure you dont scratch it or pick at it, yet alone touch it. It'll go away soon in about a couple weeks.

I got chicken pox at 15, and you're not going to want to go to school- believe me. It's a terrible terrible feeling, having chicken pox. You're contagious throughout the entire thing too, so you really shouldn't go to school. Why would people get suspicious? Why should it matter what they think? In life, you're not going to deal with those people anymore. You're freaking SICK, shouldn't matter what they think.
