Can I transfer universities?

What universities can I transfer to in California?

  • I am one semester into community college and am not having a good time and looking to transfer. I got into a bunch of school after high school but financially I could not go. I am not looking to transfer to a bigger school. I have 13 units which is under the 60 required for most CSU and UC but I am really hoping that a transfer will be possible. Does anyone know of some places who will accept someone with 13 units in Cali?

  • Answer:

Many private colleges and universities will admit transfers with thirteen credits. You can find information on http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com . However, unless you recently inherited a large amount of money, you will not have the funds to attend now, any more than you did when you started community college. The purpose of community college is education, not having a good time. Most students at community college do not have a good time there. There is no guarantee that you will be happier at a four-year college or university. College and university are full of academic pressure and of social pressure for people who care about the latter. That college or university is like a vacation is an untrue myth. Be realistic, do three more semesters at community college and save thousands of dollars in money or indebtedness. Best wishes.
