Chances of getting into these colleges?

• Chance Me Please?! Okay, so I'm currently sophomore and live in Massachusetts and attend one of the most competitive public schools in the state. Here are my stats: Female & Indian Current GPA: 3.6 I think its weighted...(2 Honors freshmen year rest CP1, 3 Honors Sophomore rest CP1, hopefully my gpa will go up next year- junior year- I'm planning to take 2 CP1, 2 honors and 2 AP classes) My grades are pretty much all range from B+'s to A's, so I wouldn't call myself a particularily bad student. My school is just extremely competitive. PSAT score- 170/240 (This is low mainly because i hadn't even taken geometry or algebra II when i took the PSAT last fall. I will be taking Prep Courses for the PSAT for junior year and of course the SAT as well.) I will continue to take french all throughout high school. I took the National French Exam last year. I have tons of volunteer hours. I have a HUGE passion for indian dance and I've been dancing for 12 years. I am a part of an Indian dance group and attend indian dance school. For the past 4 years, I've choreographed my own dances and voluntarily taught large groups of younger children for many different indian organizations. Im planning on doing this for the next few years as well. I am a member of my church youth group and volunteer at my church and many other organizations. Apart from dancing, I have played the piano for 5 years. In school: Member of Amnesty International Club (Most probably leadership position next year- will be a member for 4 yrs) Member of S.A.D.D. (student organization against drunk driving and drugs- will be a member for 4 yrs) Member of Youth Red Cross 3 yrs Chosen by guidance counselor to be a Peer Counselor- 3 yrs Member of my school's PRIDE group. (Tutor elemtary school children) Also, I will start an Indian dance club/team in my school next year. I might possibly join the Speech and Debate team next year... not sure... This summer I'm attending a selective summer program at MIT, volunteering at a Dental Clinic, and shadowing/interning at a different Dental Office. Of course, I'll also be teaching dance to kids as well. I want to become a dentist and major in pre-med I'm considering to apply to the following schools, so could you please chance me? Boston University UMASS- Amherst Northeastern Univ. Penn State Univ. Univ. of Pittsburg UCONN Syracuse Univ. Univ. of Maryland What are my chances of possibly getting into any of these schools?! ~Please and Thank yous!

  I think these are all good matches/ slight reaches. However, I would add a few safeties in there, since your PSAT score is a little low. Although, I would not be too concerned, my son had a 173 as a sophomore but ened up scoring high enough to be a semifinalist. Good luck.
