What is your personal opinion on Stem Cell Research and Cloning? Please give your opinion.?

If you want details, go to the library and get some articles. You can get articles on both sides of the issue. Asking people on YA is not the way to do research or to conduct a proper poll. Since you asked, I am in favor of both of these things. Stem cell research could hold the key to a cure for many diseases and could save lives. People who are against it usually have the incorrect idea that it involves cutting up unborn babies.

I heard that kind of research was really meant to cure people bound to wheelchairs (however my sources are not really that credible on that one). But as for cloning, the only benefit from that is if we can clone animals who are going extinct or animals we rely heavily on for food (farm animals, fish, etc.). Or even cloning wildlife fauna. Cloning humans is kind of pointless and a little stupid since we are overpopulating the Earth right now and our economy is so bad from all of the overconsumption and whatever else Obama and the Republicans are yaking about.

Stem cell research is a god-send for people who are critically ill, as it is sometimes the only thing that stands between them and death (or suffering). Moving on to cloning, that scares me. I don't think life should be artificially produced...there's just something ethically and morally wrong with it.
