Pressure under both ears when outside?

Why do I feel a pressure sensation in my ears when I dial a number on my home phone?

  • When I dial numbers on a home telephone I feel a sort of "pressure" sensation in my ears, sort of like the feeling when one changes elevation...I notice this on most home telephones I use and its mostly only in my right ear. It happens when I use any home telephone at any location, not just in my home. Any suggestions on why this happens?

  • Answer:

You are pressing the receiver against your head too hard. It's a real phone not a cell phone, the transmission quality is much better, so no need to press it hard on your ear.
