What is wrong with my only tv?

LG tv won't turn on what's wrong?

  • about maybe a week ago my living room tvv wouldnt turn on (LG lcd 47"). my stepdad called me out to see if i could fix it. i pressed power on the remote and it wouldnt turn on. then i noticed that the red light that comes on when the tv is off wasnt on. so i came over and turned off the surge protecter then turned it back on and the red light came on and the tv came on when i pressed power. when i came home from school it wouldnt turn on again so i tried the power surge thing again and it still wouldnt turn on so i tried the button on the side of the tv and once again wouldnt turn on so my stepdad called someone and they came and took the tv and when they brought it back 2 days later (last night) they said nothing was wrong with it so we decided to plug it in somewhere else just incase the outlit was the problem and when we plugged it in it worked fine. but this morning it wouldnt turn on again but the red light is on showing there is power coming to the tv... whats wrong with it?
