  • Answer:

Use this tool to compare the cameras. http://snapsort.com/compare Yes, all three of the brands you have selected are good. All three provide processed images (jpeg). It is not true that Canon will only provide raw pix.

It sounds like you need to take a bit of time to educate yourself to determine which camera will best fit your needs, not a generic answer. All those brands are good brands and may actually share parts. All, including the Canon, will shoot regular, jpg files you can edit on your computer. RAW is a file format that pros use but is generally not an option on the point & shoot cameras you are seeking. For example, the Sony WX50 shoots 3D and 3D panoramic shots. It doesn't sound like that's a big feature for you. Some of these are smaller than others. Anything above 12MP is not going to give you much better shots if you're not doing a lot of posters or photoshop work, and the larger file size is harder to manipulate if you don't have a fast computer. So "best" is relative to your needs. Check out this article for some basic information that may help. Alternatively, a good "Dummies" type book may offer a lot of information on both choosing the right camera and how to get the most out of it.
