What to pack for summer camp?

What to pack for a six week summer camp job? (kitchen staff)?

• Hey everyone, this summer I am going to a camp to work as a kitchen hand for six weeks, I am bringing my horse as well, and I don't know what to all pack... I know that I don't want to bring my whole wardrobe or all my horses stuff, (like feed buckets or all of my brushes, and extra tack). I just have no idea what all to pack! There is an ice rink, swimming, horseback riding, as well as the kitchen work. All help is appreciated! I have already purchased bed sheets instead of using a sleeping bag for that long! I have so many things to pack, it is just overwhelming! Please Help! Oh, and I don't know exactly what I can pack all of this into... suit cases? Plastic Tubs? Plastic Bags!? All answers are appreciated! :) Thanks!

  You will have to make special arrangements for your horse and gear. I have not ever heard of anyone taking their horse to summer camp. Mostly all you will need are shorts, shirts, light long pants, a light jacket, swim suit, a hat, rain jacket or poncho, socks and underwear - enough to get you through a week, with a little in reserve in terms of clothing. You will need a good pair of walking shoes, a pair of sandals, and depending on your camp maybe pool or swimming shoes. A huge decent quality backpack, and rolling your clothes tightly so that more will fit might be a good idea. Check to see what your camp provides and allows - most likely there is a list of things you should bring and should not bring - but you will certainly need bug spray, sun screen, an inexpensive camera, entertainment for times when you are off duty (e-reader, music, books, magazines, etc.), a sturdy notebook and a pen, toiletries (shampoo, soap in a soap dish, moisturizer, razor if you need one, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. but keep it as simple as possible), postcards and stamps, possibly towels and maybe a pillow, non perishable snacks.
