What can I wear on my girlfriend military basic training graduation day?

  • I'm planing to travel from Miami to Fort Jackson for my girlfriend family day pass ceremony and her graduation day. However, I do not know if they have a dress code policy. Otherwise, I'd like someone to give me the best idea on what to buy and wear on my girlfriend Day pass ceremony and her Graduation day. I know she loves bright color. Please give me as much choices as you can. Thank you.

    It's HER graduation day. Nobody really cares what you wear. Clothes would be an appropriate choice. Pretty much anything from jeans and a T-Shirt to a full on suit and tie. The ceremony will probably be outdoors, so wear something appropriate for the expected weather conditions.

I've seen family in shorts & T-Shirts to people in suits / dresses. I'm personally of the opinion that dressing to far down is a bit of disrespect towards those graduating & the military in general. I mean really, you are celebrating someones graduation by looking like a$$? Hey Jeff, Frank, etc....these trailer park trash people are my family & friends! Wear a pair or jeans, dockers or suit pants & an appropriate shirt (stay away from T-Shirts, especially any that are crude). Tie & Jacket aren't necessary but if you want to wear one more power to you.

Its going to be hot, and you will do some walking. shorts, flip flops, t-shirt. It isn't formal. You'll be sitting in bleachers. Have fun buddy, I'm sure she misses you.

JetDoc is right. They don't care about what you wear as long as it is not offensive or too revealing. I suggest something sexy as most likely she'll want a conjugal visit.
