What attitudes, issues, or events in American society today would be good topics for satire?

Corruption in today's society ( not a question just want to hear some opinions and views) MATURE?

• i wouldn't go as far to call myself a conspiracy theorist, i just like seeing the world for what it truly is. the topics below are just some of me views and certain aspects of the world today. feel free to agree or disagree with them and leave your opinion below. if you not quiet sure of what you talking about, please feel free to leave and not post ignorant comments below TOPIC 1 weapons. the world and society we love in today in corrupted in numerous ways, i have heard from many others that the usa issues fire arms to many nations around the world. i do see how this would bring in substantial currency to the us but of course this would all have to happen behind closed doors as our leaders cannot be caught doing such an act. i do believe that this is true to some respect but what do you think. if the us does do this which nations do you think its being issued to. the same can also be said vice versa as the us buying weapons from china ect. TOPIC 2 Technology our strive today in society is to strive toward bigger and better things. with this goal also comes the invention of more advanced and powerful weapons. its kind of like this, many powerful nations today own nuclear devices and silos located in many places. you cant blame them because you wouldn't want to be the one without any sort of plan for attack or defense if say china was to issue nuclear war for whatever reason. you wouldn't want to be the one without a gun in a war. we are all proud of our country's achievements but as history has shown these so called "top secret" creations will inevitably have their time to shine and when this happens it will without a doubt fall into the enemies hands eventually. in a war you cant keep track of every soldiers new gun on the battle field and before you know it the enemy has the same gun and the situation and destruction only escalates in the coming years. for instances, the drone belonging to the us crashes in iran and the biggest threat was that its secrets and technology could have been stolen and lets just say it did, within months one belonging to iran may crash in the us and then everyone wonders how they developed this technology. TOPIC 3 conspiracy there are many things today that our government hides from the global population for many reasons. hypothetically, do you think if the world was going to end next month the government would tell us? of course not, there would be rioting, destruction, chaos and society would crumble. but is this so right? that human beings must hide information from their very race? we select obama as our leader but is he so different from you and I? does he deserve to know such information and then have the power to make the decision to withhold it from the world? this is topic is controversial at best.another exmaple. there is no factual proof that the earth has been visited by aliens only people suspecting and ignorant people making claims. for those shaking their head right now the term alien refers to any life outside of earth. we assume that it must be intelligent life being that space travel is very sophisticated and required a great deal of high tech technology. why would the government with hold such information from us, i see only few draw back to such information being released. TOPIC 4. racism i find there are a lot of racial aspect still continuing in our society. there is a station call BET( black entertainment) known by many, is it true or not that hypothetically if there was a WET (white entertainment) that there would be a big controversy with many upset people claiming that its racial and wrong and what not, why is this? for instance the N word referring the African Americans is a very crude term the way i see it. many African Americans will take huge offense to this word if spoken by a white man but seems to be normal if spoken by a fellow African American, why is there a word that can only be spoken respectfully by some and not others?

  Topic 1 and 2 Weapons and Technology Your contention that the details of weapons deals to foreign countries are kept secret is not correct. The United States discloses the terms of all the weapons contracts that it negotiates with our partners, friends and alliances. These are reported on by the news media and detailed accounts are published in military journals. Furthermore, we cross train with these countries and conduct joint military training exercises. If you look at all the major wars that we have been in: World War I and II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. These were all fought with coalitions of our allies. Arms deals are not done with the goal of raising currency or helping our trade balance. They are done to increase the security of our friends and allies. Of course, technology does play a role in defense and nowadays these high-technology weapons tend to be non-nuclear or conventional in nature. Obviously, some of this is secret to help preserve our lead but if we did not pursue these technologies our adversaries would eventually pass us up. Sure, Iran might recover one of our drones but despite its claims this does not mean that they can somehow reverse engineer it and develop their own system. The technology that supports those drones is much more important than what is inside the box. There is, however, one key element you are forgetting. The US military is not the most feared in the world just because of its technology, but rather it is in the training of our forces and our ability to execute use this weaponry that makes the US Military the best in the world. Topic 3 Conspiracy The notion that aliens are frequent visitors to earth is really a far-fetched idea when you look at the facts. We know that intelligent life probably exists just from the probabilities. If you stipulate that the average galaxy has 100 billion stars and that there are at least 100 billion galaxies, then it is almost a certainty that alien life exists. But for intelligent life to evolve there has to be a large number of factors present. For instance, the planet has to be relatively protected from asteroids and comets and it must be the correct distance from its star. Ideally, it should have a moon that stabilizes its orbit the same way our moon keeps the earth from spinning out of control. We already know that there is no intelligent life within 100 light years of the earth because the SETI program has thoroughly checked all of those stars for any signs of intelligent life. This should come as no surprise as per the previous discussion. So let's assume that the nearest alien planet is over 100 light years away which is most likely the case anyway. Anyone that far away from the earth would not be able to detect us because our radio wave broadcasts are less than 100 years old. And even if for some reason an alien race wanted to come here it would take an unimaginable investment and expenditure of energy to complete the voyage. People who believe in the alien visitor conspiracy seem to think that travel at or beyond the speed of light would be viable to an advanced technology. I don't think this would be so. The amount of energy required to perform this task would be so great that our astronomers would see evidence of these faster than light ships. Topic 4 Racism I don't think that Black entertainment is racist at all. I like to watch French films that are dubbed in English. Does that make me a racist? I have some German friends who sometimes attend activities intended primarily for the German Amercan community. They often talk and joke about themselves with self-deprecating humor. That does not mean that they would not take offense if someone on the outside used that same language. That does not make them racist.
