How can I join the Canadian red cross?

Would you join the Red Cross ?

  • And travel to war torn countries knowing that your life is at constant risk? Red Cross nurse Khalil Dale, a 60-year-old Muslim convert, was taken hostage by suspected pro-Taliban fighters in one of the most troubled regions of the country in January. On one of his visits home, he spoke of the dangers he face and said "I just get on with the job and I believe in destiny. But I'll put it this way: I've made my will." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/9235614/British-aid-worker-Khalil-Dale-beheaded-by-Taliban-in-Pakistan.html

  • Answer:

Helping Pakistan is like trying to help a drug addict that doesn't want help. No amount of man power can turn Pakistan into a civilised pleasant nation. They have over double the population of the UK but they keep the underclasses away from education so they can keep their labour cheap and keep them under religious rule. This was just another Muslim convert learning the truth of Islam.

No. I would rather help those who are not likely to stab me in the back. That said the red cross has a long history of helping in difficult circumstances sadly the type of people they are now reaching out to have different values, traditions and allegiances. Why not leave it to the red crescent? Like primarch said this kind hearted man found out the hard way that some people cannot be helped. Even converting to Islam did not save him...... No wonder Christians are seen as legitimate targets.....http://uk.news.yahoo.com/nigeria-attack-church-services-kills-around-20-144842350.html;_ylt=ArJL5T1OslIlOGdhlHlTuaXEfMl_;_ylu=X3oDMTVoMWN2NWsxBGNjb2RlA3ZzaGFyZWFnMnVwcmVzdARtaXQDTmV3cyBmb3IgeW91IFJIIGNvbCBvbiBuZXdzBHBrZwNjZjIxNmFiMi03NTVmLTMyNjUtOWQzYi03NTc4NzcyYjFmYTcEcG9zAzQEc2VjA01lZGlhQkxpc3RNaXhlZE5ld3NGb3JZb3VDQVRlbXAEdmVyAzY3NGU5Mzc0LTkyNGYtMTFlMS1iOTAzLTQ5YWU2NmRmNzFmZA--;_ylg=X3oDMTJyajVjcG9rBGludGwDZ2IEbGFuZwNlbi1nYgRwc3RhaWQDNzE1ZmYwY2UtNmZkZS0zOGU5LWE5NDctYzgyYzZmMjliOTVmBHBzdGNhdAN1awRwdANzdG9yeXBhZ2UEdGVzdAM-;_ylv=3

No I'd rather join the Blue Cross and help animals.

Criminal Mind

Help where help is needed and only where they help actually changes things. There are many people closer to home, whose plight is just as bad, but one persons help can actually make a difference. And................ You dont have to risk your life doing it.

Mr Warrior

I am tempted to say come home let them rot but that is only out of anger. I think the Red Cross are the real heroes in the worn torn countries to the east. Would I enlist ? I have to be honest and say that I would not, I have become far too comfortable in the nanny state that is Britain.

No... Do not go to these countries is the answer, and let them get on with it.. End of story... Do good in OUR country.... plenty of people need help...

Stargazer

I haven't had anything to do with the red cross since they found Christmas an embarrassing inconvenience.
