How To Talk To A Guy?

How do I talk to this cute guy I like at my school?

• There is this new guy-well not so new anymore new guy- at my school. He is just beyond amazing. I want to talk to him but I'm kind of a shy person when it comes to guys. My friends always say that he likes and I'm not sure if he even knows I exist. I think I may have caught me staring at me in English a few times but he sits behind me and I'm not sure if he is looking at the board or not. We do, i think, it could be just me, look at each other during lunch. We have a lot of mutual friends but, they dont know that I have a crush on him. Some people say that we'd be a cute couple and some say otherwise. Right now, I'm not interested in the couple part because..... I'm 13 but I still want to talk to him. I thought about being like direct about it but i also thought about being like discreet and not telling him anything. I'm nervous because I dont want him to think i'm a total reject or something. Eveyone always says I need to be myself and hurry up and talk to him but if I had 2 be myself then I wouldnt talk to him at all. I honestly barely ever talk to cute guys. I do have guys friends but they're not cute like that. I'd never call them ugly, they're my friends. half of u guys are going to say "on no, sweety, youre too young to talk to boys. they are still supposed to have cooties at your age or something." Yea soooo no... try to keep that inside your mouth and not say that because Im not trying to go out with the guy or something i just want to talk. Maybe eventually but not now. I dont even know the dude. Plus, if I did it wouldnt affect me much. I've been a straight A student since kindergarten. Then agin I've never had a boyfriend but I dont see how that could change things. Please leave a nice, honest answer. Thanks =-)

  i've dealt with this problem more than you can count. it sounds like you're a little awkward around guys that you like (like me), so this is the easiest thing that you can do: just casually bring up a conversation about your mutual friends or something that'll make him feel comfortable around you. you don't need to rush yourself into talking to him because that'll just make yourself nervous, but don't wait it out either because at the end of the day you'll regret not speaking with him. just think of him as one of your guy friends. what would you say to them? he's a guy too, so it most likely won't be any different. and i've also encountered guys that are so amazing that it seems as if everything that you want to say to him is dull. just be casual like he's just an everyday guy and work your way into getting to know him better. Make sure their aren't too many long, awkward pauses because you both will start feeling weird and he will find ways to exit out of the conversation. Oh, and compliment him. Guys love compliments, and if he likes you he would blush. But don't lay on too many compliments because then he will just think you're desperate. Yeah, anyways.
