What is it like working at a gas station?

Is working at a gas station dangerous?

• I just got offered a job at a gas station. It's the only place that's hiring for the summer and pretty much the only paying job I can get. The only problem is I'm afraid of getting robbed. It's not really in a dangerous area, but there have been a few robberies at similar stores in the same town the last few years. The place closes early, 10 pm I think, and it is on a somewhat busy road. I don't know for sure but there may be nights where I close by myself. Is it potentially dangerous or am I just being paranoid? Also, are gas station bathrooms gross? I'm a bit OCD so I don't know if I could clean a really gross one (is that part of the job?).   Get a gun license and hide a shotgun under the counter, check the bathroom out for yourself.
