Employment History: Discrepancy in employment dates question?
-
I just got a job offer and on my application I put I was employed by my college from 8/28/08-12/31/08 but I think I may have worked a shift or two second semester so it would be 8/28/08-05/31/09 because I'm not sure if I worked more shifts in the spring I think I may have. In any event I put 8/28/08-05/31/09 for the 3rd party agency but now the company that hired me has different dates. Should I contact the company that hired me and explain the dates? Will the the 3rd party agency say I lied about the dates. I'm just stressed and really want this job thoughts?

Answer:
You can tell them you noticed a discrepancy, that you really did work the extra time, but I would have proof before you do.
