Is there a good job outlook for pastry chefs?

• Im going to culinary school in the fall for baking and pastry arts and I am skeptical on whether or not I am making the right choice.I am not sure if there is a good job outlook in this field. I am curious if starting off fresh out of culinary school if i am going to get a job and be making decent pay, and if in the future I will still be able to have a job and be able to move up and make more money, like are there going to be more job opportunities for this career in the future, I am debating on going into the culinary field or to study teaching, which has great job security and i know had a good outlook for job opportunities in the future

  The world of professional cooking is extremely competitive. Having a culinary degree can open the way to lots of different things, such as owning and operating your own restaurant, catering services, and earning a reputable reputation as someone who can deliver a mouth watering, heart stopping meal. But if you think its easy, you're wrong. If you expect high salaries, forget it. You probably will find a job right out of school, but its not going to be in a four star restaurant. It takes an incredible amount of hard work and dedication. It can take year's for some chef's. I'd go for that teaching degree.
