Is going to nursing school worth it?

I am a medical assistant and have been thinking of going back to school to pursue a career in Nursing???? Is?

• it worth it. I am a mother of five young children and just graduated a year ago. Medical assistant is not anything like they said it was going to be in school. I hate the Doctor I work for and my pay is well I make 14.00 an hour. My dream has always been to pursue a career in the nursing field and to work in labor and delivery. Is there much difference in pay? Is it worth going back to school. Since I already have most of the credits needed I would be done with an associates degree in one year? Thank you so much your opinion really means alot.

  Go for it, you have nothing to lose. The nice thing about the nurse field is that you are always employable and you can work any where you wish. But the work can be very stressful and the hours not alwas easy ones to work with a family to raise.
