Why can't I play computer games in full screen?

My computer "crash" when i play certain games?

• hello. my computer "crash" when i play certain games like L:A norie, WOW, SWTOR and fallout: new vegas, after a few minutes of gameplay the screen goes black and my speakers go like brrwrrrwrrrwrrrwrrr, then suddently this "no signal" message comes up and it goes back to black again. this does not happen when i dont play games and when i play games like minecraft or CSS it doesent happen. it is really pissing me off because i just got a new game and i cant play it for more than 4-6 minutes before my pc crash. my friends says this might be because of a bad fan or something but ive been inside my pc and cleane it all. still crashing, any suggestions? my computer is a dell studio xps 8100 and its about 2 years old.

  It could be a number of things, but the fact your not Bluescreening is a little cause for concern as we cant pinpoint the issue with the error code given. MC & CS:S are older games when it comes to Graphics required, The rest not so much. What could be happening is your GPU is failing when its reaching higher loads, this could be because of heat issues, even problematic overclocking if you have done so. Components Die, so it could very well be the GPU especially if you have the monitor running via the GPUs VGA/DVI or HDMI ports.
