Why does my xbox 360 connect keep freezing?

So when I'm playing my xbox 360 basically freezes and I'll have to reset it.It didn't use to do this; this started over the past couple of days.It's been getting really annoying especially if I'm really far on levels.Why is this happening and what should I do to make it stop?
