Why is my PS3 freezing during online gameplay?

Should I buy Skyrim for the PS3?

  • I wanna try Skyrim out. I played It at a friends but thought It was kinda boring. But that's because I didn't really know how to use my map and fast travel and stuff and actually DO quests and enjoy the game. So I've decided to give the game another chance. :) My only problem with Skyrim for the PS3 is that I hear that after 60+ hours of gameplay It will start freezing on you. So basiclly my question is, should I buy Skyrim for the PS3? I just don't want my system crashing every 10 minutes :(

    I have Skyrim for the PS3 and I have never (knock on wood) had a problem with freezing or crashing, except as a result of the newest patch & once I re-installed it, it works perfectly again. I'm not really sure why one game & console would crash & not another one, but I've had the same PS3 since it was released & Skyrim since it was released. I would easily recommend Skyrim on PS3 for anyone, a great investment.

If your PC can handle the game at anything above medium settings, u would probably be more satisfied with the game on your PC. Go here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:System_Requirements for good info on system requirements. If u like playing with a game controller more than keyboard/mouse, u can use your PS3 controller on your PC with interface software such as "MotionJoy". The only disadvantages of playing on the PC are that consoles are "pop-the-disk-in-and-go" and PCs require some setup. But with all the other perks of the PC game (mods, command console, better graphics and performance), I still think u will like the PC experience more.

I can not personally recommend Skyrim on the PS3. I think the best versions were for the Xbox360 and PC. If you have one of those, get it for that.
