What are the best application for editing videos for youtube?

Well, the ones for free e.g. iMovie for Mac, Windows Live Movie Maker for Windows are usually crap. If you are willing to pay money for Editing Programs you get far more out of them... e.g. Sony Vegas would be best, but very expensive, Final Cut Pro is also good, and Adobe After Effects, expensive but great too. It also depends on what type of videos you are making... if it's gaming, you'll want a more expensive one... but if it's vLogs etc. then go for a free one e.g. Windows Live Movie Maker - very easy to use and FREE.

depends what type of computer you have. if you're a mac, like me, you'd might wanna get final cut pro, which is like imovie but much better. or, you might want adobe premiere. both are good. i use final cut pro (i got it from a torrent) but i would like to get adobe premiere. if you have a windows or a pc, you should get sony vegas. very advanced, but very easy to use as well. i adore it, but i don't have a pc so i can't use it. adobe premiere is also compatible with pc, but final cut pro isn't. and you can't download nor install imovie... so that person up there is wrong... have a nice day x

you can just use Movie maker, but the best ones are the ones like after effects or sony vegas
