Google Chrome opens every link in a new tab?

Whenever i click on a link, it opens up in a new tab at the top of the page. I would like to have everything redirect in the same tab, it is very annoying because tabs accumulate very quickly. Please help! I use Google Chrome.

Chrome sucks... it is an over-hyped and over-rated system memory hog... and isn't as secure as many seem to think. Use a different browser.

I've been experiencing this annoying problem lately. I have been using Chrome for 4 years and with each version update it gets worst.

There are a few things that could be causing it. One is that the LEFT shift button is sticking. Press and hold that button for a few seconds. I do not know if there is a setting that you changed. I was looking at my settings for Google Chrome and I didn't see anything. Maybe you could check that out. Other than that, I have no idea how to fix it. Good luck.
