What's better a downhill freeboard or longboard?

Whats easier a longboard or a skateboard?

I just started to learn to skate on my boyfriends skateboard the other day, basically all i can do is try not to fall down and do a 180. i realized that i would be more into just cruising so i was wondering if it would be easy for me to transition to a longboard since i can at least stand up and cruise on a skateboard? also is a longboard easier in general? sorry for such a long question :) thankies in advance!!!

A long board is easier to just cruise on because they're easier to manouver and balance on. A long board is easier to just ride on but you're unable to do any tricks or stuff on.
