Can ashes be put in tattoo ink safely?

IS IT NORMAL FOR MY COLORED TATTOO TO SCALB A LOT?

  • i got a tattoo of fire flames on my arm above my wrist. the tattoo is outlined with black ink and filled in with red and yellow ink. my tattoo artist told me to put little of ointment on it,but when i did that it's like it made a lot of the ink came out the first day.so i got nervous and gave him a call about it but he was busy with another tattoo so i asked another artist that work at the same shop (i asked the artist that answered the phone about it) he told me that he recommend me washing the tattoo and leaving it dry. so i washed my tattoo and left it dry for about 24 hours. when i got in the shower last night it begin to look exstremely dry so i added a little of non scented lotion to it. i woke up this morning and i seen allot of scabbing that looked very crazy to me so i added more lotion. right now its 3:22pm central time and i just added a little more lotion to it. i want to know is this normal for my tattoo to scab as much as its doing? im very curious because i don't know whats going on because this is my first colored tattoo and also the largest tattoo i have. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!........PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!

  • Answer:

When you get your tattoo you aren't supposed to let it dry, you have to keep it moisturized then wash it with unscented soap, and add just a light coating of the moisturizer like aquaphor. Usually tattoos will begin to peel but I would try to get ahold of your tattoo artists just to be sure but if you continue to moisturize it and keep it clean, you should be fine. Don't pick at the scabs or if it peels. And when you get your tattoo the first day or so the ink will begin to come off and some of the inked blood, but that is normal. Hope this helps!
