Can someone please help me with this quadratic applications problem?

  • 1) A quarterback tosses a football to a receiver 40 yards down field. The function is f(x)= -0.025 x(squared) + x + 6 Models the footballs height, f(x) in feet when it is x yards from the quarterback a) how many yards from the quarterback does the football reach its greatest height? What is the height? Show your work. b) if the football is neither deflected by the defender nor caught by the receiver, how many yards will it go, to the nearest tenth of a yard, before hitting the ground? Show your work c) at what height does the quarterback release the football from his hand? Explain. d) Draw a rough sketch of the graph of the function. include the following labeled points: the height of the ball is released from, the maximum height, and the point at which the ball hits the ground. (if someone can help me with those answers i would really appreciate it and give you best answer :D)
