Romeo and Juliet help please! 10 points and 5 stars to best answer!?
-
ok, this is NOT a test, quiz, or homework assignment! My english finals are soon and in class we read the book Romeo and Juliet in the beginning of the school year. My teacher handed out this little chart on Romeo and said that we would have to write a paragraph from his point of view in the finals. I barely remember the book at all and I don't have time to read through it again. If you can help me by answering a couple of questions about Romeo, I would be super grateful! 1. What is his vision of himself, and of others? 2. What is his focus or goal? 3. What is his final view of his conflict? Is he a static or dynamic character by the end of the play? 4. What is one of his strengths and one of his weaknesses? 5. What is a famous quote said by him and the general meaning? Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to help me out! I really need it! =)

Answer:
1. Romeo sees himself as someone who will never be lucky in love, especially after we hear of Rosaline breaking his heart in the beginning of the play. He is still gentle though, and passionate! 2. He wants to find love, and happened to "fall in love" with Juliet at the ball. He wants to marry Juliet, though to the audience he may seem like a naive child. 3. After talking to the Friar, Romeo understands that the conflict (of him being banished from Verona) is not as bad as he thought. He and Juliet are both still alive and healthy, and he calms down. When he finds Juliet "dead", he panics, and believes that he cannot live without his love. (Keep in mind the two met less than a week ago!) He is a dynamic character, though--love has changed him. His only wish in the world now is to be with Juliet rather than to just be lucky in love. 4. A strength of Romeo's is his kindness--he is kind to his friends, and others. He is also very passionate. A weakness of his is his inability to think before acting (because of his emotions). In other words, He does not think things through and it gets him into trouble multiple times. For instance: kissing Juliet at the ball for passion, chasing after Tybalt in rage, and poisening himself for the loss of his love. 5. See how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O that I were a glove upon that hand, That I might touch that cheek! (2.2.23-5) Romeo is watching Juliet from the balcony, and wishes to be near her and to touch her. He wants to be the glove that touches her cheek. He marvels at her beauty. Ahh! I love this play soo much :) I've read it for class a ton of times. Good luck on your finals! Hope I helped!

Other answers
Sorry I haven't read this in a few years, but 2. He wants to marry Juliet. 3. The final conflict he faces in the fact he believes Juliet has actually died when he finds her because he was unaware that she was only faking her death, so his final view may be that he has no other choice but to live a lonely life in exile. Either way he has to live without Juliet, so he would rather be dead. 4. Streghth:His willingness to fight for what he loves (ex. Juliet). Weakness: His love for Juliet. 5. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" is a reference to a quotation from William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, meant to say that the names of things do not matter, only what things are
