What is the baggage allowance for my connecting flights?

What are the limits on baggage on connecting flights: 2 airline allows 2 bgs, the other 1 bg.?

  • I am flying from Copenhagen to Toronto, and my flight connects with SAS from Copenhagen to Frankfurt, and Condor from Frankfurt to Toronto. The baggage allowance with SAS is 2 check-ins, but Condor only allows 1. I need to check in 2 bags (I lived in Copenhagen for a year and am now moving back). Will the folks at SAS in Copenhagen allow me to check to their flight, or reject me because of Condor? Any experiences? I'm wondering if I can just try to get onto the SAS with the 2, and have it smooth sailing from there.

  • Answer:

If it is really connected flight (you have one ticket CPG-FRA-YYZ) then it shouldn't be problem as you are checking your luggage at CPG and won't see it till you land in YYZ. In worst case, it is only 40EUR for additional bag. http://www.condor.com/us/flight-info/baggage/hand-baggage-free-baggage.jsp#c2548

They have interline agreements, so you will be allowed to bring as many bags as SAS allows all the way through to your destination
