Whats easier a longboard or a skateboard?

I just started to learn to skate on my boyfriends skateboard the other day, basically all i can do is try not to fall down and do a 180. i realized that i would be more into just cruising so i was wondering if it would be easy for me to transition to a longboard since i can at least stand up and cruise on a skateboard? also is a longboard easier in general? sorry for such a long question :) thankies in advance!!!

longboards are a lot more stable and easier to ride, i tried skateboarding and didnt particularly like it at all, and now im in love with longboarding.

A long board is easier to glide or cruise or use to get somewhere. It's easier to control and turn. A skateboard is better for tricks. I'm sure you would be good at the longboard :]
