Is Parkinsons Hereditary?

Michael j fox wat would u say to my 71 year old dad who was diagnosed with parkinsons last year?

• I am a huge fan and admire you very much u are an inspiration u am a registerd nurse and have always been interested in parkinsons research. My dad was diagnosed last year even tho i new he had it prob for a few years every symptom was there.he is a minister and still by grace of god preaching but he can barely walk. The sinemet and other meds dont seem to help and there very expensive i no they just slow dowm progression.but he doesnt want to take them anymore bexause of cost and way they make him feel. Do you feel your parkinson meds have helped or are helping slow progression of disease.in nursing school i watched a documentary about a proffesor who video his disease progression until the end he used laughter and jokes to cope it was amazing. I think you are amazing and an inspiration to those with parkinsons and there families god bless you and you remain in our prayers
